Mr Tavernor reports:
Everyone happy and well….even Mrs Pogson, who fell into the canal! This morning will be spent packing ,tidying up and receiving awards from the group leaders….before saying our goodbyes.
We are bringing back a coach full of very tired children!
Mrs Holmes reports:
The team expect to leave Bendrigg around midday, and will let us know their expected arrival back at school time.
Depending on the traffic, this should be between 2 and 2.30pm
We are happy for you to collect your child early and take them home…they will need to sleep!
PLEASE TELEPHONE SCHOOL AFTER 1.30pm FOR THEIR EXPECTED ARRIVAL TIME
Many thanks, on behalf of our parents and carers, to the fantastic team: Mr Tavernor, Mr Aherne, Mrs Ross, Mrs Pogson, Miss Parkington and Miss Gadd. They have done a magnificent job of taking care of the Brookside Y5/6 children all week.

Group C have been caving in Yordas caves. On the way we stopped off by an old village church and put me, Mr Tavernor, in the stocks.
After we went in the caves looking for the Giant who lived there. We found his chair, the waterfall where he showered and where his toilet was!
We had to crawl through small holes in the rock to find the waterfall where he showered and the small room where he went to the toilet. Afterwards we looked for fossils before eating our lunch on the hillside.
There were a few sleepy children on the journey back. A great Morning out!
Very busy and tiring day! Children have been climbing at the centre - lots of Brookside Mountain goats amongst them all!
Canoeing was brilliant - some very wet children at the end of it all.
Rain all evening for the night hike so lots of Brookside Drowned Rats!
Children are worn out, safely tucked up in bed by 10 and fast asleep!
13/07/2010 noon.
All of the children slept very well, after a special evening around the camp fire. You can see one of the instructors, Rex, teaching the children the SHARK SONG- great fun. Mr A kept us all smiling as we sang some more songs. The camp fire was a superb end to our first day at Bendrigg.
It was quite a late night….but all slept well (exhausted!)
Breakfast first thing….. and off to enjoy a caving adventure in the Dales!
